Grace is unmerited, divine assitance granted to humans for their regeneration or sanctification.
We are granted God's grace through the sacrifice of Jesus' death on the cross. Through that grace we are justified. (Justified = Just as if I'd never sinned)
We cannot earn God's grace, but by confessing Jesus as Lord you are granted it.
